Scottish Water inspects JD7 pipeline technologies

Pipe condition assessment and leakage detection specialist JD7, part of the Aquam group, has demonstrated its advanced technologies to asset management and project teams at Scottish Water.

The company took part in two Inspection & Testing events hosted by Scottish Water at its offices in Stepps, North Lanarkshire and Dunfermline, Fife on 25-26 July 2016.

The events were designed to promote the technology and services available for inspection and testing through Scotland’s water framework agreements. JD7’s general manager, Dale Hartley and implementation engineer, Dylan Corrigan demonstrated the JD7 Investigator and LDS1000, which can capture asset data from live pipelines in real-time.

Investigator combines CCTV with a sensor head and can be used on pipes of 76mm (3”) diameter upwards. Long–distance CCTV inspection and leak detection on trunk mains can be carried out in live pipelines using the LDS1000.
